Real food for Real people.

Healthy, delicious food for busy people.

I am obsessed with all things food.  How it tastes.  How it heals.  How it's grown.  I also have a healthy dose of curiosity on whole body wellness.

About 3 years ago I was faced with a choice

1. start taking pills

OR

2. change how I eat.

I decided to change how I eat...

and then it changed everything!

(read more below)

It greatly changed how I

 serve my clients.

I know, first hand, how great eating real food can make you feel!  And because I have been cheffing it up for years - I also know how to make real food taste great too!

My Story

I have been on an ever-changing food journey

my whole life.

Here are some of the highlights of my trip:

I come from a long line of great cooks, whose specialties include classic American and Norwegian fare.

(Can you say cream and butter!?!  YUM!)

I still love being the "sous chef" to this

amazing group of women.

I tried a 3 year stint in vegetarianism after college,

but was lured back by fried chicken.

In my early 30's, after about a decade in sales and marketing, I started looking for something new and took my first culinary course.  It was love at first class.

Immediately after I finished cooking school, I left marketing and started working for a B&B and a caterer.  Heaven.

My food journey was put on hold for about 5 years

for 3 amazing reasons.

(Let's call them Larry, Curly, & Moe.)

When my youngest was about one, I made my way back into the food industry as a prep chef - turned kitchen manager at a gourmet food shop in Atlanta.  After 3 years there and a move to NC, I became the catering liaison at Whole Foods.

The biggest change in my food journey came about 4 years ago when we found out my son has food allergies.  It forced me to read every food label.  WOW!  That sure will change the way you think about what you are putting in your mouth.  I also started developing food sensitivities, vitamin deficiencies and some auto-immune disorders.  These were a wake-up call.  I changed my diet to a mostly whole foods diet and it dramatically changed the way I felt.

I am still in the process of healing.

It is a beautiful journey.

I have recently been uncovering the huge connection between the mind and body in our healing and health.  I am a witness, though, that real, whole foods is a cornerstone to health.

Truth be told, that is a struggle some days.  It can feel very lonely when on a healing journey.  It has inspired me to do what I do.  My hope is that others may feel supported and encouraged by the services I offer.

I would love to do the same for you.
